Former UConn Huskies safety Robert Vaughn was hoping to catch on with the Hartford Colonials where he played his college ball at Rentschler Field. They had added him to roster back on August 26th.
But unfortunately for Vaughn, he won't be calling Rentschler Field home again as he was one of six players cut by the Colonials on Sunday. The cuts brings the Colonials roster down to 59 players with seven more players to be cut by Thursday.
There are still five former Huskies on the roster:
- Dahna Deleston, safety
- Andre Dixon, running back
- Keith Gray, center/guard
- Mike Hicks, tackle
- Danny Lansanah, linebacker
