Marquette Golden Eagles head coach Terri Mitchell glances at the clock late in the first half against UConn at Gampel Pavilion Tuesday night.

Marquette Golden Eagles head women's basketball coach Terri Mitchell probably wasn't happy when the Big East schedule came out and she saw the UConn Huskies on the schedule, twice. Given the talent UConn has, you can understand why.

For the second time this season, the Huskies put a whipping on the Golden Eagles with a 94-37 win in front of 6,430 at Gampel Pavilion on a light snowy Wednesday night in Storrs, CT.

UConn improves to 21-1 (8-1 Big East) while Marquette falls to 11-11 (3-6).

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led the way with 22 points and five assists while pulling down six rebounds. Bria Hartley added 20 points, four assists and three steals while Stefanie Dolson had 15 points and five blocked shots, in her return after missing her first career game.

Caroline Doty had 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting from three-point land. Kelly Faris had another "Kelly Faris" game with 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists and five steals. Breanna Stewart rounded out the Huskies in double-digits with 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Moriah Jefferson tied KML with a team-high five assists.

Brooklyn Pumroy was the only member of the Golden Eagles to hit double figures with 11 points. Lauren Tibbs was the next highest scorer with six points. Chelsie Butler and Katie Young led them with five rebounds apiece.

This game was pretty much over after Marquette opened up the game with a three-pointer. The Huskies responded with the next 19 points that was part of a 42-8 run. UConn hit 60 points in the half as they took a 62-17 lead at the break.

Obviously the emotion of losing Brianna Banks is huge. But this was a game where players needed to step up. Doty had a big game shooting and Jefferson was great with the ball. You know what you're going to get from the four of Dolson, KML, Hartley and Stewart.

Doty and Jefferson will need to continue this as the Huskies go forward this season.

The UConn women return to action on Sunday afternoon when they'll host Geno Auriemma's old friend Doug Bruno and his DePaul Blue Demons squad. Tip is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
