Here are the results for week seven of the 2011 college football season. Be sure to head over Crystal Ball Run for a full look at the results for the week for more insight on the poll.

- Kellen Moore (QB-Boise St) - 11 Points, 13.10%, 2 1st Place Votes

- Dropped Out: Tyrann Mathieu (CB- LSU), LaMichael James (RB- Oregon)
In case you were wondering, this is how I voted in this week's poll:
1. Andrew Luck – Luck stays at the top for me despite just an average night. He was 16-of-21 for 169 yards and two touchdowns. He really didn’t need to much as his offense racked up 446 yards on the ground in a Pac-12 romp over the Washington Huskies.
2. Kellen Moore – Moore just continues to put up great numbers. In a closer than expected game with the Air Force Falcons, the Broncos QB was 23-of-29 for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
3. Russell Wilson – You can’t blame Wilson for Saturday night’s loss to Michigan State. But he does drop here in my poll a spot due to the fact he threw two interceptions. He was 14-of-21 for 223 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown as well. His overall body of work keeps him in my top three.

no commentsAs many of you know, I am one of the voters in the BlogPoll Top 25. Each week, bloggers across the country representing the various FBS schools get together and put together their own top 25's. Here at SOX & Dawgs, we are representing the UConn Huskies. The votes are then tabulated on Mondays.
Each week we are asked to do an initial ballot. This allows you the reader to let us know in the comments whether you agree with my choices or not. The initial ballots will normally be done on Sunday.
After I check the comments for the initial ballot, I then resubmit my final ballot for the week. If there are comments, I'll take them into consideration before submitting the final ballot by 8 a.m. on Monday.

The college football polls are out for the week and there's now a consensus No. 1 team in both polls. LSU, which has been No. 1 in the AP Poll, now assumes the top spot in the USA Today Coaches' Poll after the Oklahoma Sooners were upset last night.
LSU is followed by Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Boise State in the AP Poll. The top five in the coaches poll is almost the same with with Stanford being No. 3 and Oklahoma State at No. 4.
The Big East is represented by two teams this week in both polls. The Cincinnati Bearcats entered both polls at No. 24 (AP) and No. 23 (USA Today). The West Virginia Mountaineers are still ranked despite losing to Syracuse at No. 25/24.
Syracuse and Rutgers are among the others receiving votes in both polls.

In case you were wondering, this is how I voted in this week's poll:
- Andrew Luck – Stanford QB – Luck remains the favorite for me. He got off to a slow start but still finished with 336 yards and four touchdowns. He may need to step up his numbers as Russell Wilson is on his tail..
- Russell Wilson – Wisconsin QB - One can only imagine how good Wilson would have been at NC State had he had what he has at Wisconsin. He continues to dazzle as this past weekend he caught a touchdown pass to go along with an efficient 12-of-17 for 166 yards and a touchdown pass in the romp over Indiana.
- Kellen Moore - Boise State QB - In the year of the quarterback for the Heisman, Moore continues to put up crazy numbers. This time out, he was 26-of-30 for 338 yards and four touchdowns. He kept one of those touchdown passes in the family hitting his brother Kirby for one in the 2nd quarter
