After a day off on Monday, the Boston Red Sox head out on the road for the next five games to pursue the American League's best record and home field through out the playoffs. They'll kick it off tonight in Denver, CO as they take on the Colorado Rockies in the first game of a two-game set at Coors Field.
First pitch is scheduled for 8:40 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Rockies market, you can catch the game on ROOT Sports. And if you can't catch the game on television, you can always listen on the 2013 Red Sox Radio Network.
John Lackey makes 29th and final regular season start of 2013. In his previous 28 starts, Lackey is 10-12 with a 3.44 ERA. He picked up the win against the Rockies on June 26 when he allowed two runs in seven innings of work. He's made three career starts against the Rox and is 2-0 with a 4.15 ERA. He picked up a no decision in his only Coors Field appearances back in 2010 as a member of the Angels when he allowed five runs in 6.2 innings.
Tyler Chatwood makes his 20th start of 2013 for the Rockies. In his previous 19 starts, he is 7-5 with a 3.36 ERA. His lone career start against the Red Sox came in 2011 as a member of the Angels when he picked up a no decision after allowing two runs in six innings of work.
