Video: Jerry Remy Calls Mike Lowell an "Arrogant Athlete"
Just before the NESN cameras came back in the 4th inning on MLB.tv, they were focused on former Boston Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell and his kids while he was receiving yet another standing ovation from the Fenway Faithful.
Obviously NESN color analyst Jerry Remy didn't realize his microphone was open as he called Lowell an "arrogant athlete".
I definitely have to think that Remy was joking around especially considering the fact that you could hear Don Orsillo laugh after he said that.

OMG, I don't believe he was kidding either after hearing this again. This makes me sick. Remy, you are a sour puss, and talk about arrogant, you love all the attention you get!!!! You really need to apologize!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope he didn't mean that, because he would lose all my respect for him. Mikey is the last person to be arrogant. If you didn't mean this Jerry, you need to put an apology in writing.
Doesn't sound like joking at all to me. He sounds serious. Don's chuckle sounded uncomfortable, or maybe he couldn't believe he said it, but I don't think his laugh means anything.
The only reason at all we question if he was serious is because we don't want to believe it.
I honestly think he's joking around. It's tough to interpret especially given the fact that Remy doesn't realize his microphone isn't on.
And they didn't show this on the actual feed on NESN. Only on MLB.tv feed of NESN. I went back to that point and double checked to see if it happened there.
